Tiffany gift

October 19, 2010

A Tiffany gift box and pearl bracelet….every woman’s wish!

It was an orange cake (my favorite) with vanilla buttercream. Excuse the picture quality, I had no choice but to use the flash as it was dark out.

Although I didn’t make any 3D items for this Diego cake….the 2D images took me almost as long to make.

Mickey Club House

October 19, 2010

This is a very simple cake  that  made for a friend’s daughter’s 2nd birthday.  The characters, in case anybody else would be interested, were brought to me from New York (my sister bought them at a Disney store)…so enless you have some or are willing to order some online…Unfortunately I don”t have them on hand and there aren’t any in Montreal!

This cake was for another employee at RBC celebrating 20 years with the company. It is a fun yet simple and modest design for a work anniversary. The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream.

This was for an employee who was celebrating 31 years at RBC. She deals with employees around the world and has a few….what to call them?….challenging ones? Her co-worker who placed the order wanted to point the “challenging” countries out on the globe! The cake was vanilla with rasberry buttercream.

I made this for a man turning 40! The big 4-0. Apparently he wanted to go to Vegas to celebrate….but….he has a wife and kids?! Is that maybe why he wasn’t allowed…I mean…he chose not to go? Vegas was brought to him instead. Much, much safer this way!

Cat in Hat

October 10, 2010

I made this for a little boy’s 1st birthday. I am so happy I had a chance to make a Cat in the Hat cake! The cat, I have to admit, is a little too flat. But otherwise, the other characters turned out great! I love Fish. I added the cupcake at my customer’s home because I wasn’t sure it would survive the drive….

The cat’s hat and the teapot are cake, all characters are fondant.

This was a carrot cake with a mild cream cheese buttercream for thanksgiving.  I always liked fall colors!

Black & pink applique

October 10, 2010

I made these for a sweet sixteen. What really makes them great, appart from the great, are the colors! Black, white and pink go beautifully together.
